WIN: An Epson WorkForce Pro printer to kick-start your IT innovation programme

*UPDATE – This competition is now closed and our winner is Sally Lawton!

“My business partner and I run a theatre school and performance space called ‘The Houldsworth School of Performing Arts’. As a brand new start up, with a very tight budget, we face many of the challenges new companies struggle with today, which is why winning this competition was a great morale booster for us.

I noticed the Epson competition on Smarta’s Twitter account and thought ‘why not?’ and entered. When I saw the tweet saying I’d won, I couldn’t quite believe it!

We’re constantly printing scripts, leaflets and posters that reflect our company and promote the work we’re doing. Producing this content and material to a high standard is absolutely crucial for us.  The Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4535 DWF printer we won is ideal for our needs. It’s perfect timing too – there’s a big launch in May, and so we’re now best placed to prepare for and promote this.”

Sally Lawton, co-founder of The Houldsworth

Congratulations to Sally, and thank you to all those who entered. Keep an eye on the blog for our next competition!*

When it comes to embracing technologies and looking for new ways to deliver growth, recent findings from our Epson Business Council research highlights that the innovative spirit of the British entrepreneur is alive and kicking, with 51% of British small businesses saying that IT is an integral part of their drive for business growth, increased innovation and productivity.

However, despite our enthusiasm in the UK, British small businesses are lagging significantly behind our European peers, particularly in comparison to France and Germany, where 76% consider IT integral to growth, and still quite far behind the Mediterranean countries, 73% in Spain and 68% in Italy.

2012 is looking to be an uncertain year for any kind of business. So to give you a helping hand for a stronger and better start to 2012, Epson are partnering with Smarta and offering you the chance to win an Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4535 DWF.

I’m a mobile hairdresser & need a printer so I can do some flyers to try to boost business, it’s so slow with people leaving it longer between appointments & buying cheap colours from supermarkets. I can’t compete so need a new angle.
    Thanks for the chance.

My boyfriend has spent years in University and has his degree in animation, and is now going freelance, trying to use his skills rather than be stuck in a job he doesn’t like.
I know he has been after a decent printer for his designs, so if I manage to win this, it’ll be a great surprise for him.
(He has no idea I entered this competition lol)

I print and frame photo canvas prints. People can upload or send me their images and I print them onto canvas, then stretch the canvas on to wood frames. I currently use Epson products to make my prints.

My new innovation is the ‘canvas cube’. This is a cube made up of detachable canvas frames. People can changed the faces of their cube with new photo prints to make the cube and ever changing photo display system.

I run an electrical contracting firm with my husband, this year we’ve changed our mobile technology. We’re now using iPhone 4 and have found it valuable to our business.

Our company does an awful lot of printing invoices, quotations Electrical test sheet & more.I’d love to win this so we can start to print our own business cards to a high quality instead of outsourcing.

I am in the process of opening small mobile phone and accessories shop, which will be an addition to our current online presents.
Printer is a must and our current one can not cope with all orders we are getting, so hopefully soon we will have new “work horse” in the office. I hope Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4535 DWF can handle it ;-)
